Because what is aging? To me, there ain’t no shame in celebrating how long you’ve been on this planet – No, when I blog about anti-aging, its about combating damage. But damage occurs as we naturally move through our lives – sun exposure, trauma, stress…all unavoidable for most normal human beings. This is why I love restorative oils like rosehip and seabuckthorn.
Seabuckthorn oil is high in vitamin C, fatty acids and anti-oxidants. Its actually used on burn victims in Eastern Europe (according to some of my Eastern European Estheticians) because of its ability to heal the skin and encourage regeneration. That’s why I put it in my Damage Care Collection (!)
I personally prefer the berry oil to the seed oil – though both are repairing. The berry oil has a much higher vitamin C content and vitamin C is so good for pigmentation. The high vitamin C content in rosehip oil is also why it helps to fade skin marks and hyperpigmentation.
So, if you’re an oil junky like me – and you want to do some skin aging prevention (or have a few pesky scars and areas of damage on your complexion already (also like me), try out some Seabuckthorn oil. Its positively skin saving.
